Who is Big Brownie?

Every year the Michigan Brown Trout Festival plants a tagged brown trout known as Big Brownie. If an angler is skilled enough to bring in this fish, he or she wins $25,000!

The fish has only been caught ONCE during the entire history of the tournament!

Learn more about the process behind Big Brownie, from hatchery to Lake Huron by reading this article from The Alpena News.
